SEOUL — The bottleneckof the electric revolution has finally been broken. A major battery manufacturer has begun mass-producing solid-state cells, replacing the flammable liquid electrolyte found in traditional lithium-ion batteries with a solid ceramic material. The result? A battery that charges in five minutes, has double the energy density, and cannot catch fire even if punctured. Several automakers have announced they will be equipping their 2027 luxury sedans with the new tech.
