BERLIN — Cybersecurity hasalways been a game of cat and mouse, but the mice just got a lot smarter. Security researchers have identified a new type of malware dubbed 'Worm-GPT'. Unlike traditional viruses that follow a static set of instructions, Worm-GPT is an autonomous agent. When it hits a firewall, it uses an onboard language model to analyze the defense, rewrite its own payload, and try a new attack vector. Defense firms are fighting fire with fire, deploying their own AI 'Guard-Dogs' to patrol corporate networks.
